In 2006, the idea of creating a school in the Land of her ancestors germinated in the heart of Jane Bonvin-Nsubuga. In 2016, the Nankya Association was born in Switzerland. A non-profit organization. It supports an intergrated community school in the Lwengo-Masaka district of Uganda.
The children are between 5 and 7 years old. We have adopted UNICEF’s Early Childhood Care and Development (ECD) as our backbone.
Our teachers are trained in this pedagogy.
Our school aims to pass the traditions and knowledge of our elders. This aim is to instill in children a community spirit that inspires them to love, appreciate and develop the resources of their own environment, and to stay there.
