About Us

Nankya Association

In 2006, the idea of creating a school in the Land of her ancestors germinated in the heart of Jane Bonvin-Nsubuga. In 2016, the Nankya Association was born in Switzerland. A non-profit organization. It supports an intergrated community school in the Lwengo-Masaka district of Uganda.

Program: Community Integrated Education

The children between 5 and 7 years old come to the centre daily from th e surrounding villages to follow an ECD Early Childhood Development, a UNICEF program.
Our teachers are professionally qualified to impart this pedagogy.
In addition to this, our school promotes the passing on traditions and knowledge of our elders to the
children.
This objective is to instill in our children a community spirit that inspires them to love, appreciate and
develop the resources of their own environment

Our Objectives

  • Support the creation and development of a school integrated into the environmental context, for the children of the
    MITIMIKALU community,
    Masaka District.
  • Promote a sense of belonging to a culture, a territory and a community.
  • Reactivate, Promote and transmit local ancestral knowledge linked to agriculture and handicrafts.
  • Help reduce the rural exodus, which may be national or even continental.
  • Make up for the lack of schools close to this community. Without our school, children would have to walk between 3 and 5km along unmade and very dangerous roads
